Submitting Your Entry
To submit your contest art, send a note to *pokemongaia that contains a link to your work. The subject should contain the word "Contest" so that the right admin will know to open it. Please don't combine your contest entry with a normal gallery submission, since different Admins take care of the Contest and the Gallery!
Contest work must look acceptable. By this we mean that it would be preferable that your art was not drawn on lined paper (unless it's exceptionally good) and/or that you didn't write something in a mere five minutes.
Please don't trace original art or use sprites (unless you made them from scratch).
If we ask for an ORIGINAL Pokemon, please give us its type, its strengths, its weaknesses, its stats, and as much info as you can provide.
We do not accept late entries to contests.
Important: We don't accept repeat submissions. In other words: if you submitted an art piece to the gallery before, or to a different contest, you can't re-enter it into the new contest.



Contest Collaborations
Collabs consist of two or three people working on a single Pokedorks contest entry.
Only 3 collaborators per piece, please!
The collab counts as a single contest entry for each collaborator.
If the collab wins first place, each collaborator wins a 1 month sub, rather than a print or a 3 month sub.
Each collaborator earns the same amount of EXP.


Gaia Prizes
The more entrants in the contest, the more EXP they earn. For example, if we have 10 entrants, and entrant 1 gets 1st place, he earns 10 EXP. If entrant 2 earns second place, he earns 9 EXP. If entrant 3 earns 3rd place, he earns 8 EXP, and so on. In the case that several entrants get 0% of the vote, they will all be considered "whatever place" that follows the person with the last highest score. In other words: if entrants 1, 2, and 3 got first, second, and third place, and entrants 4-10 got 0% of the vote, those entrants will be considered 4th place and earn 7 EXP.

Voting
Non-Members may not vote.
DO NOT urge your friends to vote for you in your journal, by noting, by forum, or otherwise. We consider this ballot stuffing. It reduces our contest to a mere popularity contest, which we despise. The first time we catch such activity, we will warn you; all times afterward, we will disqualify your piece, and you will forfeit all EXP and prizes thereof. If you notice someone doing this in their journal, please notify =ozhall by Note at once!
When Members and Admins vote, they must note okemongaia: with the subject saying "BALLOT." They should include the name of the ONE piece they want to win.
Members and Admins may enter one entry each. Nonmembers may not submit any entries. Points will all be worth the same, regardless if one is an admin or a member.
Admins may enter a contest and can win first place, but cannot win the monetary prizes. They can, however, win art by a contest artist.

In the event there is a tie, the Elite Four will deliberate. These are =ozhall=ShadowsQuill*parchmentheron~buttersrocks.

Claiming a Prize
*pokemongaia will note winners with an inquiry as to what sort of prize they would prefer.

If you've won the Contest Art option, choose a contest artist from the list below who you would like to draw for you. Follow the Contest Artist procedure as outlined on the Journal.
